French scouts vs British raiders

Returning war parties will post here their battle reports

French scouts vs British raiders

Postby Kadzik » Sun Nov 10, 2013 4:52 pm

Yesterday we played yet another game in shop. This time our French forces get reinforcements from Guyenne regiment; 10 brave soldiers with officer. We gathered them with 2 units of Compegnie Franches de la Marine, 1 unit of Coureurs de Bois and a group of Indians. Our goal was to scout some terrain around abandonned settlement and return to encampment.

British have 8 newly uniformed Higlanders from the Blackwatch with a unit of Rangers with their officer. They were accomapnied by 4 units of Indians, who were eager to take revenge after past raids and burn this village as a show of force.

Sons of France march to cover the settlement:

British march to burn crops and homes:

Marines take cover in swamp and forest:

Highlanders hide behind building and Indians prepare to launch attack:

British occupied whole colony. Last French defend in building:

Marines crossed the river and attacked Indians from behind, but it's too late:

Next time we will use some more Regulars and bring artillery. This shall teach British how to fight in true man manner :)

Enjoyable! Very good pictures. Would've enjoyed more written narrative- this gave the sense of a graphic novel! :) Brilliant.
Thank you for sharing. And I hope you get to play again soon and share it also.

Cheers,
Tristan.

Thank you for all comments :)
Propably at the begining of December we will play even bigger game (with more Indians and Regulars on both sides) so I promise, I will write more narration :)
Recently I also play at least one smaller (~200 points) game per week. Unfortunately my camra is broken, so I cannot publish any pictures.

And here is another report. This time from British perspective: Yori-Hobby

Highlanders made coward move to hide behind building. With Indians they now make crossing the river impossible for Marines.

Good frame of whole settlement. It's right before Indians charged Guenne troops:
