Hi Hithero. Skrealings are fine. I believe one other person is possibly taking them too (I don't know most of the warbands, but a few I am kind of aware of) but do not let this change your thinking.

It will be great to see you there. I will add your name onto the list :)

Hi John,
What happens if a game times out without a winner (Which happened when David and I tried Holy Icon) is it scored a draw or are there tie-breaks to determine the result?
Cheers
Mike

Hi mike. Yes if you time out with no winner it is a drawn game
Gives 1 ranking point each on the day

just a quick confirmation needed

- 6 points fixed list, no composition change ?
- change of armement, mounted/foot (thinking Norman) ?
- the terrain rules talk about preset tables, so we do not have to bring terrain ?
- for the chance encounter, do we have to bring our own baggage element ?

Before I get to your questions Alex, Some good news. Gripping Beast have kindly donated some prizes for the event, so there are some very cool things to play for if you do well on the day.

Onto your questions -

6 points fixed list, no composition change ?

6 point list. No changes through the day. So your one list needs to be able to try to do it "all"

so example -
Alain Berbetorte, Hero of the Viking age - 1pt
Hearthguards - 2pt
Warriors - 3pt

Means this is all I get to use through the whole day, for each scenario

change of armement, mounted/foot (thinking Norman) ?

This is fine. So you can mount/dismount or pick up crossbows, change unit sizes on deployment, etc

So from my example above,
during the Holy Icon scenario I may decide use my 3pts of Warriors as two units of 12, both mounted with javelins
then during the Mystical Terrain scenario, I instead take 2 units of 6 mounted with javelin, and 2 units of 6 on foot.

the terrain rules talk about preset tables, so we do not have to bring terrain ?

All terrain will be provided and preset by the organisers. I have been a busy boy.....here is ten tables worth...

for the chance encounter, do we have to bring our own baggage element ?

Yes please. This would be very advantageous. If people can bring at least one piece of baggage with them that would be great, as there are some available on the day, but I am sure not enough for everyone.
(I do have an option to cover all but it won't look half as good if we have to use it)

See you in a week, looking forward to it,

Cheers, John.

Is there a pdf of all the rules and scenarios in one place we can print out?

I'll bring my bunch of Baggage to help out with this one. There is enough for 2 games with 40x80 and 2 games with 40x40.

So if I have 2 points of hearthguard in my viking warband I can choose before each battle if one of those points are spent berserkers or not.
